Equality on Labour
...reinforcing the competitive advantages of all companies

Women represent over 40% of the global labour force. Still there has been change in their share of professional jobs in the last few years. Cultural and social attitudes towards what constitutes male or female jobs result in occupational segregation, although the extent of the problem varies from country to country.

The scope of the memorandum is to engage in a three-year action plan with the General Secretariat of Gender Equality aiming at raising awareness, mobilizing and transferring good practices in the field of equal opportunities among HNCSR members and beyond.

Survey on CSR in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

The survey on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises was conducted by the University of Athens, during the summer of 2006, and initiated by the Hellenic Network for Corporate Social Responsibility.

It is part of "Hermes"*, a programme aiming on broader awareness of CSR among Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, funded by the European Commission. Three hundred SMEs took part by personal interview. Descriptive statistics methods were employed in the analysis of the data collected.

CSR & SMEs

The road to competitiveness and sustainable development

Every enterprise, independently of its size and growth, is both a substantial market factor and an inseparable member of the society into which it operates. This is why, over the years, current social conditions influenced business activities. In our days, the social factor of all enterprises is crucial for their harmonious and socially accepted operation as well as for their future competitiveness.

This brochure was designed to explain briefly how important CSR is for SMEs. It is part of "Hermes"*, a programme aiming on broader awareness of CSR among Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, funded by the European Commission.
