Corporate Citizenship:

The management of the totality of relationships between a company and its host communities, locally, nationally and globally.
(Source: European Commission, 2001)

Corporate citizenship is concerned with treating the stakeholders of the firm ethically or in a socially responsible manner. The aim of social responsibility is to create higher and higher standards of living, while preserving the profitability of the corporation, for its stakeholders both within and outside the corporation.
