VIVECHROM S.A. , the first paint manufacturer in Greece, was established in 1932, being ever since the leader in the Greek paint industry. In 1992 Vivechrom became a member of AKZO NOBEL , the largest paint company in the world. Today, the company continues its progressive path having a modern organization, a dynamic management team and a considerable workforce of 265 employees.
VIVECHROM produces a complete range of high quality products to meet the market needs for decorative paints, specialized paints for the industry, as well as varnishes and furniture lacquers. The company's administrative offices and factory are situated in an land of 100.000 sq. meters in Mandra Attikis.
Vivechrom strategic target is to remain the undisputable leader in the Greek paint industry, not only for the quality of its products but also for the care for its personnel, the environment and the society. For the responsible policies that the company adopts, Vivechrom was awarded in 2005 the “Enterprise & Environment” prize by the ACCI (Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry), in 2006 the “Total Quality Management Systems” prize by the ACCI, and the 1st “Greek Award for the Environment” by the GAEPC (Greek Association of Environmental Protection Companies). In 2007 Vivechrom got the distinction “Committed to Excellence” of the EFQM Model.

CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The concern for the environment is a social priority for Vivechrom and it constitutes a substantial part of its development policy. The company is committed: To protect the environment, by deterring or limiting environmental impacts that emanate from its activities and products, through their proper design, manufacture, distribution and use, as well as through the management of waste.
For this reason Vivechrom participates in the AN voluntary program “Product Stewardship” which seeks to address health and environmental aspects throughout all stages of a product’s life cycle.
Vivechrom has undertaken a program of activities aiming to contribute to the humanitarian, educational and cultural aspects of the society. The activities of this program include informative site tours & technical advice - product & equipment offers - financial contribution and sponsorships towards the local community & authorities, non-profit organizations, “special” social groups, educational institutions, cultural organizations.
On the other hand, Vivechrom is successfully implementing in Greece the Akzo Nobel worldwide initiative “Your Community Program”, with the aim to encourage the personal involvement of employees into local social programs.
